Early each year we have a ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening, where classroom and team programmes are outlined. Year 7 and 8 parents, students and teachers have goal-setting interviews on the first day of school.
This is followed in March with our first summary report to parents about individual children’s start of year and we also ask you to complete a survey of your child’s interests.
At mid-year we report fully on your child’s achievement and progress. This involves a three-way meeting, which your child should attend to share and discuss achievements or needs. A written hand-out is provided, including progress towards meeting National Standards.
At the end of the year you will receive a written report on your child’s achievement and progress within the NZ Curriculum, including achievement in National Standards for Years 4 to 8. Children in Years 1 to 3 will receive their National Standards progress report on their anniversary of starting school each year.
Should you have any concerns about your child’s progress please do not wait until report time – make an appointment to discuss the concern with the teacher/s concerned.
Information on children’s out of school achievements will be placed in the newsletter as it is received.
